Hours of Operation

Days of Operation: Tuesday - Sunday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. -
Hours of Rental Operations: 10AM to 1 hour before sunset (EST). -
All rentals must be returned 30 minutes prior to closing.
Rental Policies

You must be 21 years of age or older to rent a powered watercraft (see Personal Water Craft PWS age qualification below). -
You must be 18 years of age to rent a paddle or pedal watercraft. -
PWC - JetSkis: If you were born after December, 1978, you must possess a boat safety certificate to rent and operate a Jetski in Michigan. See our Jetski page for additional details. -
Renters who are qualified must be present to complete and sign rental agreement. -
Operating American Boat Club rental equipment while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants is strictly prohibited. American Boat Club reserves the right to refuse renting to anyone we deem under the influence or incapable of operating a vessel safely. If found under the influence after leaving port, we have the right to immediately take command of the watercraft and cancel the rental. No refunds will be given. -
We reserve the right to refuse any rental if anyone is under the influence of drugs, alcohol or we determine unfit or incapable of safely operating rental equipment. -
You agree that renting and operating a watercraft is a potentially dangerous activity and agree to hold American Boat Club Harbor Isle LLC, it’s owners, officers, agents, and employees harmless. -
If you are late for a reservation, please call ahead. We reserve the right to reschedule a confirmed reservation.
Vessel Operation

Renters of American Boat Club watercraft are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the numerous hazards on the St. Joseph River, Paw Paw River and Lake Michigan. -
Renters of American Boat Club watercraft must be able to operate a vessel safely and agree to follow all boating safety laws and navigation rules, including abiding by wake speed regulations.
Reservations

Reservations for vessels are on a first come, first serve basis. -
A 50% deposit is required at time reservation is confirmed.
Credit Cards and Deposits

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express -
A 50% deposit is required at time reservation is confirmed. -
Personal checks must clear 2 weeks prior to rental. -
Credit cards must be made by the person named on the card. -
Valid driver’s license by the credit card holder must be presented.
Security Deposit and Damage Responsibility

Renter is responsible for for any and all damages to any American Boat Club watercraft, and is responsible for any damage caused by your wake to any watercraft and personal property. -
We require and retain a credit card authorization in the amount of $1,000 per piece of equipment as a damage deposit. An imprint of your credit card will be retained.
Renter is responsible for any and all damages to our equipment while in your care, up to and including replacement cost. -
All damages in excess of $100 must be reported to American Boat Club and to local law enforcement immediately. -
Renter will get his/her damage deposit back if the equipment is returned unharmed.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 15 days or more before your reserved date are eligible for a refund of the deposit, less 10% processing fee. -
Cancellations made between 4-14 days before your date are eligible for the refund (less 10% processing fee) ONLY if we can rebook the time slot. -
Cancellations made 3 days or less from your reserved date will receive no refund of your deposit. -
NO SHOWS are charged in full for the rental period reserved. -
We reserve the right to cancel your reservation for violations to our policies. -
We reserve the right, solely at our discretion, to reschedule and/or cancel your reservation in the event of inclement weather.
